Located on the west coast of France, Bordeaux is not only the wine capital of the world, but also a vibrant center of trade, industry and business.

The School

The school is located in a spacious nineteenth century three-storey building in the heart of the city. It offers fifteen bright air-conditioned classrooms, a computer and self study room as well as a lovely lounge leading onto a very pretty sheltered garden.

Lessons

This course combines group lessons in the morning from 9.30am to 12.45 with private lessons in the afternoon. The private lessons focus on any given aspect of the French language that you wish to perfect (phonetics, grammar, written & oral expression). We will ask you to complete a 'fiche de besoin' prior to the start of your course to let us know the topics you wish to cover.

Activities

During the summer there is a full and varied activity programme in which you may participate on a pay as you go basis. Throughout the year the school will propose a limited number of activities, subject to student number. If you want to do an activity which is not on the programme, don't hesitate to ask the school to help you organise it!

Activities in Bordeaux include rambling in the vineyards, discovering the port of Bordeaux by boat, wine and cheese tasting, cooking and patisserie lessons, bowling, walking, golf, parties at the school, evenings at French restaurant and various excursions to the Arcachon Bay, Duna du Pyla, St Emilion, Bayonne, Lourdes and many more.

Accommodation

The course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (half board), apartments in Residence such as Residence Citea** and Aparthotel Citadines*** or hotels. Please ask us for more detailed information.
