The diplomas (DELF & DALF), issued by the Ministère de l'Éducation Nationale, are open to students learning French or anyone interested in receiving official certification of their proficiency in French as a second or foreign language. The level of French of the DALF is high enough to enable students to go on to follow higher education courses and enables them to bypass all linguistic tests for entry to French universities.

Located between Cannes and Monaco, Nice, the capital of the Riviera is a great base to explore the rest of the beautiful Côte d'azur. A relaxed and fun city to hang out and relax. Nice is the 5th largest city in France with around 347 000 inhabitants.
The best way to explore Nice is on foot or using the tram. A tram journey costs 1€, a day pass 4€. Ask the school for a student card and you will get special rates.
The SchoolThe school in Nice was opened in 1984. It welcomes around 1000 students each year. Location: The school is located on the first floor of IPAG, one of Nice's most prestigious business school, 5 mins walk from the Old Town and the beach. Facilities: The school offers 10 spacious and air conditioned classrooms, a cafeteria, a computer room and a terrace. Students: The school welcomes students of all ages from 17 years old to students in their 80ies. The average age is 22. The majority of the students come from Europe (Germany, Russia, Spain, UK, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria). The rest come from New Zealand, Australia, Japan and the States. Bank Holidays: There are no lessons on French national holidays. Missed lessons are neither rescheduled nor refunded. The lessons are taught in small groups and in levels of ability. 2010 Exam Dates: The DELF A1 exam will take place on 26th to 28th May and on 8th to 10th December 2010. The DELF A2, DELF B1 and DELF B2 exams will take place on 24th to 26th March, 26th to 28th May, 23rd to 25th June, 21st to 23rd July, 15th to 17th September, 9th to 12th November and 8th to 10th December 2010. Enrolments dates are usually four weeks before the exams.AccommodationThe course can be booked with or without accommodation. Accommodation is usually booked from Sunday to Saturday. The following types of accommodation are available: Host Family: You can choose a single room or a shared room with half board (breakfast and dinner). The families all live in Nice, mostly in the centre of town within walking distance to the school, sometimes a short bus or tram ride away. Accommodation is available on the Sunday before the course starts from 4 pm and should be vacated on the Saturday. Sheets are provided but towels are not. Residence: The residence is located on the rue de France, about 3 minutes walk from the Promenade des Anglais and the seafront. It offers studios with a single or double bed and are about 15 square metres. Sheets are provided but towels are not. Wifi access is available and paid for on a coupon system. Check in takes place on Sunday evenings between 6pm and 10pm. Check out must take place on Saturdays or Sundays before noon. Note that a 150 Euros deposit is required. Private Studio: Please contact us for prices. Please note that the school charges a 35 Euros host family admin fee and a 60 Euros admin fee for residence, hotel and studio accommodation. | Airport Transfer: | Students staying with a host family can book a transfer from the airport for 25 Euros each way. Students staying in other types of accommodation must make their own way. Note that shuttles as well as taxis are available from Nice airport. |
