Gréoux-les-Bains
Gréoux is a charming little town located in the heart of Provence about forty kilometres away from Aix en Provence in the 'parc naturel du Verdon'.

The School

The centre is located in a beautiful provencal domaine near Gréoux-les-Bains. The centre offers various junior programmes over the easter and summer holidays in different sections of the domaine. The main sections are the 'Pavillion d'Aurabelle', the 'Adventure Base' and the 'Farmhouse'. All benefit from access to a lovely swimming pool, many sports fields and fantastic surroundings.

Lessons

The French workshops take place every morning. The center has developed its own teaching method based on "la communication des 3P: parole, pratique et plaisir". You will be practising three hours a day, at your own level and in small groups of 6 to 8 students. The learning sessions are creative: role playing games, interviews, radio or video reporting. You will gain confidence which will make you feel like speaking French all the time.

Activities

This adventure programme includes a survival-trip, tree and rock climbing, horse riding along and through the Verdon river, raft-building, cooking on wood fire, playing the tom-tom, body painting, archery competitions in the special Robin Hood-corner next to the Adventure Base and a day trip to the French Riviera. There are also activities in the evenings such as theatre enactments, camp in the open air (bivouac), local village ball, pizza evening or quizzes and a hip dance party. The friendly monitors will join in everything with you.

Accommodation

The programme includes full board accommodation in the 'Adventure Base', a few hundreds metres from the 'Pavillon d'Aurabelle'. The adventure base consists of large tents and a huge 'indian tent' in the shade of mighty old oak trees, a giant hammock, a kitchen and eating corner in scouting style and a cosy place for the camp fire.

Accommodation is adventurous but comfortable. You will have your own bed and storage. Don't worry there are good sanitory facilities in two separate buildings next to the tents (showers, toilets and sinks). You will go to the 'Pavillon' regularly so that you can take a dip in the swimming pool, and join some of the special meals and activities.
