Aix en Provence
Known as the City of Water and Art, Aix is a picturesque spot in the heart of Provence. Birthplace of the painter Paul Cézanne, Aix has captivated many other artists through the centuries with its natural and cultural heritage. As if Aix itself wasn't enough, there is also plenty to explore in the vicinity: Arles, the Camargue, the Gorges du Verdon and much more.

The School

The school is located in a charming turn-of-the-century building in the heart of Aix, about five minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. It offers fifteen classrooms all named after famous writers or famous places in Provence, a computer room, a reception area and a lounge with a library looking out onto a sunny terrace.

Lessons

The French lessons take place from 9am to 12.30 Monday to Friday. They are organised by levels (elementary to advanced) and comprise a maximum of ten students. The lessons integrate the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Two teachers alternate, co-animate and coordinate their training in each group.

Activities

In the afternoon you will follow a fantastic cooking discovery course. All the activities combine linguistic and culinary aspects. The programme includes a guided tour of the town on the first afternoon, an introduction to provencal cooking and special products, their history and traditions, a presentation of France and its cheeses with of course tasting, a visit to a vineyard and an olive oil mill and four practical cooking classes so that you can become a chef!

Accommodation

The course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (B&B or half board), apartments in Residences, studios (available for four weeks minimum) or hotels. Please ask us for more detailed information.
