The School

The school in Vichy was opened in 1964. It welcomes 3000 students each year.

Location: The school is centrally located on the campus of the new University and Technology Centre.

Facilities: It offers thirty classrooms, a lecture hall, a multi media research centre and four multi-media laboratories.

Students: The school welcomes students of all ages from 16 years old to students in their 80ies. The average age is 25. The majority of the students come from Italy, Germany, Spain, Mexico, China, Japan.

Bank Holidays: There are no lessons on French national holidays. Missed lessons are neither rescheduled nor refunded (except private lessons).

Lessons

This course consists of group lessons every morning from 8.45am to 12. The lessons are organised by levels (beginners to advanced) and comprise 10 to 15 students per group.

First day: Students need to be at the school at 8am on the first morning. On arrival, students sit a placement test. Lessons begin at 10am during the year and 2.30pm in the peak summer season.

Activities

The Golf lessons takes place in the afternoon at Vichy Sporting Club. The Vichy golf course is one of the premier courses in France due to its history and beauty. It is situated beside the peaceful waters of Lake Allier. It is an 18 hole, 5,393 metre course (par 70) in an arboretum of over 300 varieties of trees.
You can choose between the following options: G1 which includes 1 green fee per day, G2 which includes 2 hours private lessons per day and G3 which includes 1 hour private lesson per day. Extra private lessons can also be booked.

Accommodation

The course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (B&B or half board), student residence, studio, hotels or campsite.
