Located in the South West of France on the Atlantic coast this beautiful and historic town is a Mecca for surfers and holiday makers looking for something different to the French Riviera.

The School

The language school is located about twenty minutes on foot from Biarritz town centre (ten minutes by bike) in a modern and spacious building. It offers fifteen bright air-conditioned classrooms as well as a computer and self study room.

Lessons

The French lessons take place either in the mornings or in the afternoon Monday to Friday (depending on the tide). They are organised by levels (beginners to advanced) and comprise a maximum of fourteen students. The lessons integrate the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Activities

The Surfing lessons take place either at the Plage des Basques or in Hendayes by the spanish border. Both beaches offer several types of high quality beach breakers but also waves more adapted to surfers at the initial learning level. The teacher is Pol Plantec, a highly skilled surfer who created the HASTEA surfing school; other state qualified teachers may sometimes replace him.

Accommodation

The course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (half board), apartments in Residence such as le Victoria Surf or La Colline Bleue, studios or hotels. Please ask us for more detailed information.
