Enjoy the pleasures of tasting some of the most outstanding wines of France with a French learning experience. We offer two different wine courses, one in Bordeaux, the other in Aix en Provence.

Located on the west coast of France, Bordeaux is not only the wine capital of the world, but also a vibrant center of trade, industry and business.

The School

The school is located in a spacious nineteenth century three-storey building in the heart of the city. It offers fifteen bright air-conditioned classrooms, a computer and self study room as well as a lovely lounge leading onto a very pretty sheltered garden.

Lessons

The French lessons take place from 9.30am to 12.45 Monday to Friday (8.15am on the first morning). They are organised by levels (beginners to advanced) and comprise a maximum of twelve students. The lessons integrate the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Activities

The wine course is conducted in French and translated into English by a professional wine taster at l?Ecole du Bordeaux, run by Chateau Lynch-Bages. By tasting some of the greatest vintages of the Bordeaux classics you will not only learn the 'art of tasting', but you will also learn how to analyse the wine in your mouth and describe its aromas and flavours, using the correct terms. You will also be introduced to some of the up-and-coming wines in the region. Whatever your favourites, you will be invited by the professionals to discover some of the most prestigious chateaux in the world!!

Accommodation

The course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (half board), apartments in Residence such as Residence Citea** and Aparthotel Citadines*** or hotels. Please ask us for more detailed information.

Airport Transfer:	Transfer is free for students staying with a host family. For other students: The bus from the airport to Bordeaux centre costs 6 Eur. A taxi from the airport to Bordeaux costs about 30 Eur.
