Why not practice your French on a language holiday this Easter. As well as having French lessons every day, you will take part in fun sport and leisure activities.
Choose a location:
Ideally located between Nice and Cannes, this beautiful yachting capital has one of the prettiest coastal landscapes in France. Antibes is the Côte d'Azur’s second largest town with a population of 75 000 in winter and almost twice this amount in summer. Yet Antibes is still a small and friendly town in which you will easily find your bearings.
The best way to explore the town is on foot, by bike or by scooter. During the day, the bus stops all over town (10€/week). By night, taxis are the best form of transport (student prices).
The SchoolThe junior school in Antibes was opened in 1985. It welcomes up to 400 students per week. Location: The junior camps take place on two different campuses in Antibes: Students: The school welcomes students aged 14 to 17. Half the students come from Europe (Germany, Spain, Italy, Britain, and others), 20% from South America (mainly Brazil), 20% from Asia (mainly Korea and Japan) and 10% from North America. Bank Holidays: There are no lessons on French national holidays but an activity is usually planned for the day. Missed lessons are neither rescheduled nor refunded. The school has the following affiliations or memberships: FLE,EAQUALS, ALTO, CSN LessonsThe French lessons take place from 8.45am to 12 Monday to Friday (no lessons on the first Monday). They are organised by levels (beginners to advanced). You will be in a group of ten to fifteen students of a similar level. For those who wish to improve their oral skills further, it is possible to add two extra working sessions (65 Euros supplement per week). These are scheduled in the afternoons, with a maximum of 6 students per class. ActivitiesThe programme includes a day trip to the Iles de Lérins, Monaco or a nautical theme park, two half days of organised activities off campus or of excursions to Nice, Cannes or Marineland dolphin park, sports tournaments, theme activities, a 'barbecue evening' or 'crêpes party', a 'pub gathering (with the organisers) or disco evening (on the premises) The school also offers "Kiosk activities" such as water skiing, canyoning, rafting, scuba diving, etc. These activities are at a fee and are supervised by professionals outside of school. Note that these external organisers used by the school are certified and they must meet the French security requirement valid on the day of the activity. To allow students to enroll onto these extra activities, parents must complete an authorization form. AccommodationThe programme includes full board campus accommodation in a three or four bed room. All meals are taken on campus (with the exception of weekend excursions). Most meals are in the form of buffets and provide for the many vegetarians among the students. Permission to Go Out UnsupervisedStudents need to have parental authorisation to go out in the evening. Authorisation allows them to go out one evening from Sunday to Thursday (usually Wednesday) until 11pm and on Fridays, Saturdays and days prior to bank holidays till 1am. |
