Two thousand years of history combined with Parisian style has made this beautiful romantic city a home for painters, writers and poets. There are literally thousands of spectacular attractions including world famous museums, sculptures and architecture.
The SchoolThe school in Paris was opened in 1988. Location: The school is located in the heart of Paris, on the 'Grands Boulevards', just a few minutes walk from Le Louvre, the Opera, the Georges Pompidou Centre and the famous Grands Magasins. Facilities: On the second floor of a typical Parisian building, it offers twenty bright and spacious classrooms, a cafeteria and a cyber-cafeteria with multimedia computers and Internet access. Students: The school welcomes students of all ages from 18 years old to students in their 80ies. The average age is 22. The majority of the students come from Italy, Germany, the US, Japan and Spain. Bank Holidays: There are no lessons on French national holidays. Missed lessons are neither rescheduled nor refunded. The school has the following affiliations or memberships: Souffle, Elite, FLE, CSN, Bildungsurlaub LessonsThe course combines French lessons in the mornings with specialized French workshops and visits in the afternoons . The French lessons take place from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday (8.15am on the first morning). They are organised by levels (intermediate to advanced) and comprise a maximum of fourteen students. The lessons integrate the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. Typical specialized workshops include French and International Penal Law, Business Law (contractual law, creation of new businesses, types of contract, employment law), French and International Civil Law (family, divorce, duties, inheritance), Commercial Law, Human Rights, International Law and General overview of the French judicial and legislative system. Visits may include Audience in the High Court of Appeal, High Criminal Court, law Court and Human Rights League depending on availability and calendar. Note that topics are selected based on the students' needs and depending on the availability of the above professionals and the schedule of institutions. Students are provided with the final timetable for the programme on the first day of the course. AccommodationThe course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (half board), student residence (summer) or hotel. Please ask us for more detailed information. |
