Two thousand years of history combined with Parisian style has made this beautiful romantic city a home for painters, writers and poets. There are literally thousands of spectacular attractions including world famous museums, sculptures and architecture.

The School

The school is located in the heart of Paris, on the 'Grands Boulevards', just a few minutes walk from Le Louvre, the Opera, the Georges Pompidou Centre and the famous Grands Magasins. On the second floor of a typical Parisian building, it offers twenty bright and spacious classrooms, a cafeteria and a cyber-cafeteria with multimedia computers and Internet access.

Lessons

Week 1

The course combines French lessons in the mornings with specialized French workshops in the afternoons . The French lessons take place from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday (8.15am on the first morning). They are organised by levels (intermediate to advanced) and comprise a maximum of fourteen students. The lessons integrate the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. During the legal workshop, you will be given an insight of the current French legal and political scene and you will discuss French legal practice and current legal issues such as decentralisation, France in the European institutions, etc

During the second week, you will meet specialists and visit institutions in Paris. You will meet a lawyer, a local, regional or national politician, a legal director of a French company or other personalities and professionals depending on their availability and schedule. The programme will include a visit to the French National Assembly, the Senate, the High Court, the departments of treasury and commerce, the industial tribunal or other institutions depending on availability and calendar.

Accommodation

The course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (half board), student residence (summer) or hotel. Please ask us for more detailed information.
