The standard course is one of our most popular courses. The main objective of the course is for you to enjoy learning the language and the culture of the country while meeting new people. Classes are held in the morning or afternoon, leaving you the rest of the day for activities, excursions, socialising or relaxation.

Named Karukera or "Island of beautiful waters" by the Caraïbe Indians due to its numerous rivers and waterfalls, Guadeloupe has been a French overseas department since 1946. Sainte-Anne is a small seaside district on the southern coast of Guadeloupe, known for its magnificent beaches and the dazzling beauty of its coastal areas.
The SchoolThe school in Ste Anne was opened in 1995. It welcomes between 400 and 450 students each year. Location: The school is centrally located in one of the main streets of Sainte-Anne. Facilities: The school offers five air-conditioned classrooms equipped with TV/Video/DVD and recorders/CD. A small library is at the disposal of the students as well as a computer room. Students: The school welcomes students of all ages from 18 years old to students in their 80ies. The average age is 28. The majority of the students come from Germany, Britain, US, Sweden. Bank Holidays: There are no lessons on French national holidays. Missed lessons are neither rescheduled nor refunded. The school has the following affiliations or memberships: FLE, recognised by the French Ministry of Employment, Bildungsurlaub LessonsThe French lessons take place in the morning or afternoon from Monday to Friday. They are organised by levels (beginners to advanced) and comprise a maximum of six students. Some lessons (two hours on Friday) often take place outside of the classroom in contact with local professionals. First day: Students need to be at the school at 8am. After an introduction to the school and staff, students take a placement test to ensure they are placed in the appropriate group. Lessons start after the mid-morning break. ActivitiesDuring the summer there is a full and varied activity programme in which you may participate on a pay as you go basis. Throughout the year the school will propose a limited number of activities, subject to student number. If you want to do an activity which is not on the programme, don’t hesitate to ask the school to help you organise it! AccommodationThe course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (room or private apartment), apartment in Residence or hotel. Please ask us for more detailed information. |
