Montpellier is a lively university city with year-round sunshine. It has something to offer all tastes including the beautiful and historic old town with trendy shops and open-air cafés, the modern and impressive Antigone area with its Olympic-size swimming pool. The sandy beaches and warm waters of the Mediterranean are also just 8 km away.

The School

The school is situated right in the heart of Montpellier, two minutes away from Place de la Comédie on the first floor of a seventeenth century town house. It offers a reception area, six classrooms, a staff-room, a local information centre and a roof-terrace.
The school works in association with Contact Europe to offer this internship programme.

Lessons

The work placement programme in Montpellier consists of a one week (or longer) French course followed by a 1 to 6 months company work placement or 2 to 6 months hotel work placement. The language course takes place before the placement (one week minimum) during which time an interview is scheduled with the company where the student will be placed.

Hotels generally require students to work 39 hours per week with 2 non-consecutive days off. Hotel placements pay approximately 200 Eur per month and includes full board accommodation. Positions offered: kitchen, bar, restaurant, chambermaid, reception.

Applications must be made at least two months prior to the beginning of the placement. The placement fee shown below includes a one week standard course.

Accommodation

The programme can be booked with or without accommodation. Participants can choose between host family and studio-style residential accommodation in single or shared rooms all with the following options: B&B, half board or self catering.
