Aix en Provence
Known as the City of Water and Art, Aix is a picturesque spot in the heart of Provence. Birthplace of the painter Paul Cézanne, Aix has captivated many other artists through the centuries with its natural and cultural heritage. As if Aix itself wasn't enough, there is also plenty to explore in the vicinity: Arles, the Camargue, the Gorges du Verdon and much more.

The School

The school is located in a charming turn-of-the-century building in the heart of Aix, about five minutes walk from the shops and restaurants. It offers fifteen classrooms all named after famous writers or famous places in Provence, a computer room, a reception area and a lounge with a library looking out onto a sunny terrace.

Lessons

The French lessons take place from 9am to 12.30 Monday to Friday and from 2pm to 3.30pm and from 4pm to 4.45 or 5.30pm. The afternoon course is structured in the form of thematic workshops through lively and interactive activities according to the participants' requests and levels: outdoor exercises, platform debates, theatre and song workshops, cookery activity.

Activities

Several activities are organised by the school every week for the students: cooking classes, wine tasting workshops, bowls contest, slideshow on the region, barbecue, weekend excursions, perfume workshops etc. All students are invited to register and pay on site. If you want to do an activity which is not on the programme, don't hesitate to ask the school to help you organise it!

Other activities in Aix en Provence include painting classes, beauty care at the Themes baths, visit of wine-producing chateau, olive oil producers and local crafts, golf, water sports and many more.

Accommodation

The course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (B&B or half board), apartments in Residences, studios (available for four weeks minimum) or hotels. Please ask us for more detailed information.
