Sainte Anne - Guadeloupe
Named Karukera or "Island of beautiful waters" by the Caraïbe Indians due to its numerous rivers and waterfalls, Guadeloupe has been a French overseas department since 1946. Sainte-Anne is a small seaside district on the southern coast of Guadeloupe, known for its magnificent beaches and the dazzling beauty of its coastal areas.

The School

The school is centrally located in one of the main streets of Sainte-Anne. It offers five air-conditioned classrooms equipped with TV/Video/DVD and recorders/CD. A small library is at the disposal of the students as well as a computer room.

Lessons

This intensive course combines standard lessons in the morning with an afternoon course. All lessons are organised by levels (beginners to advanced) and comprise a maximum of six students. Some lessons (two hours on Friday) often take place outside of the classroom in contact with local professionals.

Activities

During the summer there is a full and varied activity programme in which you may participate on a pay as you go basis. Throughout the year the school will propose a limited number of activities, subject to student number. If you want to do an activity which is not on the programme, don?t hesitate to ask the school to help you organise it!
Activities in Ste Anne include creole cooking lessons, dance lessons, drum playing lessons, water sports (windsurfing and fly surfing, surfing, kayaking, canyoning and tuba diving), sailing tours and various excursions (the Carbet waterfalls, the volcano ?la Souffrière?, beach of a black sand).

Accommodation

The course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (room or private apartment), apartment in Residence or hotel. Please ask us for more detailed information.
