Experience French the Fun Way by Learning French in France!

The standard course is one of our most popular courses. The main objective of the course is for you to enjoy learning the language and the culture of the country while meeting new people. Classes are held in the morning or afternoon, leaving you the rest of the day for activities, excursions, socialising or relaxation.

Bordeaux
Located on the west coast of France, Bordeaux is not only the wine capital of the world, but also a vibrant center of trade, industry and business.


The School

The school is located in a spacious nineteenth century three-storey building in the heart of the city. It offers fifteen bright air-conditioned classrooms, a computer and self study room as well as a lovely lounge leading onto a very pretty sheltered garden.

Lessons

The French lessons take place from 9.30am to 12.45 Monday to Friday (8.15am on the first morning). They are organised by levels (beginners to advanced) and comprise a maximum of twelve students. The lessons integrate the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Activities

During the summer there is a full and varied activity programme in which you may participate on a pay as you go basis. Throughout the year the school will propose a limited number of activities, subject to student number. If you want to do an activity which is not on the programme, don't hesitate to ask the school to help you organise it!

Activities in Bordeaux include rambling in the vineyards, discovering the port of Bordeaux by boat, wine and cheese tasting, cooking and patisserie lessons, bowling, walking, golf, parties at the school, evenings at French restaurant and various excursions to the Arcachon Bay, Duna du Pyla, St Emilion, Bayonne, Lourdes and many more.

Accommodation

The course can be booked with or without accommodation. The following types of accommodation are available: host family (half board), apartments in Residence such as Residence Citea** and Aparthotel Citadines*** or hotels. Please ask us for more detailed information.

Material/Equipment:  A deposit of 20 Eur is required for the use of books
Internet Access:  Yes
Airport Transfer:  Transfer is free for students staying with a host family.
For other students:
The bus from the airport to Bordeaux centre costs 6 Eur.
A taxi from the airport to Bordeaux costs about 30 Eur.
