School trip to Nice - March 2003 - "The trip I took to Nice this year was not only a lot of fun but fully worthwhile also. Staying with French families gave us the opportunity to use and improve our French language skills, it also gave us a feel to how French people live their lives. In the morning we would attend French classes which were particularly good because we were expected to talk French the whole time. In the afternoon we did various different cultural and educational trips such as visiting Monaco, the local cathedral, the old town in Nice and some art galleries. There were so many different aspects to this trip. Learning about both the day life and the night life in France was interesting and just being part of the French culture for a few days was very enjoyable." Sabina, 16

Tuition and trip - September to December 2003 - "As someone who had last learnt French over 10 years ago, I was a bit nervous about taking it up again. However, I found the teaching methods used on the beginners' course meant not only that the lessons were great fun but that I was learning a lot at the same time. The course was specifically tailored to our group's aim of being able to speak 'practical French' i.e. French that would be useful when on holiday in France. The real highlight was the trip to Nice at the end of the course. Nice is a fantastic place to visit and we were using our French as soon as we stepped off the aeroplane! The activities set out for us ensured that we practiced all we had learnt but left us plenty of free time to explore and to taste the local cuisine! I will definitely be continuing with a second course and will be looking forward to another trip to France!" Pippa, 26, Reed Online
