The Italian for Business course is aimed at professionals who want to improve their general Italian as well as cover specific business topics. The main objective is to achieve a substantial level of competence when speaking Italian in work situations.

Surrounded by olive groves and the vineyards of Chianti, Siena is said to be one of the most beautiful cities of Tuscany. Set on three hills, the city is drawn together by winding alleyways and steep steps with the Piazza del Campo at its heart. Siena is home to one of the oldest universities in Europe.
The SchoolThe school in Siena was opened in 1991. The school welcomes around 400 students each year. Location: The school is situated in a historical buidling, in the heart of the Old City of Siena, just a short walk from the famous Piazza il Campo. Facilities: The school has 8 classrooms, a common room, a lovely terrace where students can hang out and study, an internet area and wifi access. Students: The school welcomes students of all ages from 16 years old to students in their 80ies. The average age is around 25 (depending on the chosen course). The majority of the students come from Europe, the rest come from North America, South America, Australia and Middle East countries. Bank Holidays: There are no lessons on Bank Holidays. Missed lessons are neither rescheduled nor refunded. The school has the following affiliations or memberships: Italian Ministry of Education, AIL, ASILS, ELITE, FIYTO, ALTO, Bildungsurlaub LessonsThe Italian for Business course consists of general group lessons and private business lessons. The group lessons take place from 9am to 12.15 or 1.30pm to 4.45 or 2pm to 5.15pm Monday to Friday. They are organised by levels (specific dates for beginners) and comprise a maximum of twelve students. The lessons integrate the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. The private business lessons take place from 12.30 to 2pm or from 2.15 to 3.45pm or from 4 to 5.30 or from 5 to 6.30pm. The program focuses on the Italian language of business, aiming to provide students with the basic vocabulary and professional expressions used. Topics that may be discussed: job applications, curriculum vitae, references, layout of a business letter, business regulations, banking documents, etc. Since the material is broad, students will need to narrow their requirements with their teacher. First day: You will need to be at the school between 8.30 and 9am. After the placement test, students are given an introduction to the school as well as the staff. The class lists and timetables are available in the afternoon. AccommodationThe course can be booked with or without accommodation. Types of accommodation include host family with breakfast only or half board, flatshare, hotels and private apartments. |
