The standard course is one of our most popular courses. The main objective of the course is for you to enjoy learning the language and the culture of the country while meeting new people. Classes are held in the morning or afternoon, leaving you the rest of the day for activities, excursions, socialising or relaxation.

Due to its geographical position and the moutain range that surrounds it, Marbella has mild temperatures throughout the year - no harsh winters and no suffocating summers.
The SchoolThe school in Marbella was opened in 1999. It welcomes around 1280 students each year. Location: The school is located 5 mins walking distance from the beach, the Maritime Promenade, shops and the best tapas bars in town. The school is in a modern, 3 story building constructed around many open patios that bring in a lot of natural light. Facilities: The school has 17 classrooms (14 inside and 3 outside), a large terrace, a common room with vending machines, a study hall/reading room. There are 7 computers with free internet access, WIFI, library services and air conditioning. Students: The school welcomes students of all ages from 14 years old to students in their 80ies. The average age is 20. Students come from the US, Germany, the UK, Scandinavia, Holland, France and Canada, etc. Bank Holidays: There are no lessons on Spanish national holidays. Missed lessons are neither rescheduled nor refunded (except private lessons). In case of two holidays within one week, one day of the missed lessons is rescheduled. The school has the following affiliations or memberships: Instituto Cervantes, CEELE, CSN, FIYTO, ALTO, FEDELE LessonsThe Spanish lessons take place from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday. They are organised by levels (beginners to advanced) and comprise a maximum of ten students. The lessons integrate the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. The school in Marbella offers an extra lesson each day covering Spanish and Latin American culture and civilization. This lesson takes place daily at 1.30pm. The maximum number of students for these extra classes is 16. ActivitiesThe school offers an activity programme in which you may participate on a pay as you go basis (some activities are free). If you want to do an activity which is not on the programme, don't hesitate to ask the school to help you organise it! Activities in Marbella include Salsa classes, cultural classes, music lessons, golf, tennis, afternoon walking tours, visits to interesting museums and various weekend excursions (Nerja caves, Sevilla, Gibraltar, Granada, Cordoba and more). AccommodationThe course can be booked with or without accommodation. Types of accommodation include shared student flat, host family, private apartment or hotel. |
