The School

The school in Salamanca was opened in 2001. It welcomes around 1200 students each year.

Location: The school is located 5 mins walking distance from the Plaza Mayor in a renovated and modernized former convent. The main entrance opens onto a beautiful cloister. The school is on the first floor.

Facilities: The school has 30 classrooms, up to 60 in the summer months, a lecture room, wifi, a computer lab with free internet, a common lounge area and a beautiful central patio.

Students: The school welcomes students of all ages from 14 years old to students in their 80ies. The average age is 20. Students come from the US, Germany, Brazil, Asia, Africa, Scandinavia, Holland, France and Canada, etc.
The school also offers foreign language courses for Spanish students and can organise free conversational exchanges.

Bank Holidays: There are no lessons on Spanish national holidays. Missed lessons are neither rescheduled nor refunded (except private lessons). In case of two holidays within one week, one day of the missed lessons is rescheduled.

Lessons

The Spanish lessons take place from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday as well as in the afternoons (times tbc). They are organised by levels (beginners to advanced) and comprise a maximum of ten students. The lessons integrate the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

The school in Salamanca offers an extra lesson each day covering Spanish and Latin American culture and civilization. This lesson takes place daily at 1.30pm. The maximum number of students for these extra classes is 16.

Activities

The school offers an activity programme in which you may participate on a pay as you go basis (some activities are free). If you want to do an activity which is not on the programme, don't hesitate to ask the school to help you organise it!

Activities in Salamanca include Salsa classes, cultural classes, music lessons, golf, tennis, afternoon walking tours, visits to interesting museums and various excursions and guided tours (Madrid, Casa de Las Conchas, Old and new cathedrals, Prado Museum, El Escorial).

Accommodation

The course can be booked with or without accommodation. Types of accommodation include shared student flat, host family, private apartment, student residence or hotel.
