The DELE (Diploma for Spanish as a Foreign Language) is the only official certificate for foreign students recognised by the Instituto Cervantes. This diploma is an invaluable asset for students who wish to study at Spanish universities or work in a Spanish speaking country. There are three different levels:

Madrid is the capital and largest city in Spain, yet once you will be walking around in the Parque del Oeste, you will forget where you are. Join the Sunday afternoon drums circles at the Retiro or visit the Prado museum which holds the most important works of El Greco, and Goya.
The SchoolThe school in Madrid was opened in 1995. It welcomes over 2000 students each year. Location: The school is located in the Arguelles neighborhood, 5 mins walk from the University and Plaza de Espana and 10 mins walk from Malasana, one of the most popular area for going out and eating out. It is in a recently renovated 2-story building with good natural light. Facilities: The school has 40 classrooms all with audio visual equipment, a large common room with vending machines, wifi, a computer lab with 20 computers and free internet access, a well equipped library and video library, a spacious patio and air conditioning. Students: The school welcomes students of all ages from 14 years old to students in their 80ies. The average age is 20. Students come from the US, Germany, Brazil, Asia, Africa, Scandinavia, Holland, France and Canada, etc. Bank Holidays: There are no lessons on Spanish national holidays. Missed lessons are neither rescheduled nor refunded (except private lessons). In case of two holidays within one week, one day of the missed lessons is rescheduled. The school has the following affiliations or memberships: Instituto Cervantes, CEELE, CSN, FIYTO, ALTO, FEDELE LessonsThe Spanish lessons take place from 9.30am to 1.30pm Monday to Friday. They are organised by levels and comprise a maximum of 14 students. Note that the DELE preparation course is highly intensive and moves at a rapid pace The exams are scheduled by the Instituto Cervantes in May, August and November of each year. When enrolling please specify the level of exam you plan to take. In 2010, the exams will take place on 21st May, 20th August and 19th November. Exam results are published approximately five months after the examination date. AccommodationThe course can be booked with or without accommodation. Types of accommodation include shared student flat, host family, private apartment, student residence or hotel. |
